Pellet Mill Holds Ribbon Cutting
Jackson Pellets, LLC in Jackson, Ala., held a ribbon cutting March 22 at the new wood pellet manufacturing plant. Mayor Paul South welcomed the invited guests and introduced Todd Bush, head of CM Biomass North America, the parent company of Jackson Pellets. Bush told the group that the Jackson plant is the crown jewel of all the facilities he’s been a part of.
The mill represents a $21 million investment and is expected to employ 45 to 50.
CM Biomass, a company based in Denmark, has 10 other facilities in the U.S. Bush said that everything they have learned from building other facilities has been applied at Jackson in building the mill from the ground up. He said that the product manufactured in Jackson will go to Mobile as does product from other facilities in Mississippi, Tennessee and Alabama.
Morbark has unveiled the all NEW “BVR” line of hand-fed brush chippers at this year’s TCI Expo, in St. Louis, Mo. Alongside the BVR lineup, visitors found 6- and 8-in. brush chippers from Timberwolf. Timberwolf, an Alamo Group company, is headquartered in Suffolk, UK, and will be marketed in the U.S. as the Morbark TW series, beginning the first quarter of 2024…
