Take Control of Your Fiber Supply

Brunette Machinery specializes in manufacturing wood-processing and material handling systems for the forestry and bioenergy industries. With the worldwide biomass power market’s continuing growth, Brunette is well positioned to deliver top-tier wood breakdown equipment including heavy-duty drum chippers, and grinders.

Known as the Heavy Weight Champion of wood waste grinders, the Brunette/CBI Grizzly Mill Hog, is considered the most rugged hog on the market. This primary grinder’s high-inertia solid steel rotor has four alternating angled rows of striker bars to ensure even distribution of input material resulting in balanced wear and maximum throughput. The Grizzly Mill can break down large residuals from various sources — cedar bark, green spruce bark, mill wood waste, demolition debris, butt ends, and stringy bark are all easily processed into a high-quality product suitable for hog fuel, mulch or a biomass product.

The Brunette BioSizer® is a high-speed secondary wastewood grinder designed to produce a uniform-sized output optimal for the biomass industry. The BioSizer has a high-inertia rotor and four rows of staggered fixed hammers that provide maximum bites per revolution. This secondary grinder processes oversized “bush-grind”, hog fuel, trim blocks, wood chips, and typical urban wood-waste, converting it all to fine high-quality fiber suitable for various biomass products.

The Brunette Whole Log Micro-Chipper, a horizontal-feed chipper, can process logs up to 26″ diameter. It is ideal for converting whole logs not suitable for lumber into a ¼” nominal chip for use in the biofuel industry.  A powered feedworks controls the feed of single logs, or multiple stems and branches.  With a 40” wide throat it can process a variety of materials with ease.  The powerful Whole Log Chipper is available in various sizes and configurations to suit mill requirements. It features a hard surfaced anvil with a break-away support frame for protection from foreign materials.  The rear access platform makes knife maintenance simple and safe.  The Chipper includes a common sub-frame for a single lift installation.

Brunette Machinery also manufactures and supplies complementary equipment such as disc scalping screens, E-Sweeps, log singulators, and optical belt scales to help you take control of your fiber supply.
