By now you should have the April issue of Wood Bioenergy in your hands, which highlights ReEnergy Holdings facility in Ashland, Me. You’ll read the story of who I dubbed the fabulous four, a four man restart and management team that took a lot of nearly nothing and made it into something in a remarkably fast amount of time.

This was my second visit to a ReEnergy facility and definitely a fun one. Sarah Boggess, my contact with ReEnergy corporate, always makes me feel welcome and helps take out some of the guesswork of these facility visits. She even appeased my silliness in snapping a picture of me in front of the wood pile, complete with my safety vest and fur (it was a whopping -9° when I visited….I know, I know, that’s not that cold to some, but for this born and raised Southerner that was positively glacial.) As Mark Bossie, Operations Manager at ReEnergy Ashland, was walking around in short sleeves, telling me he melts in the heat, I was an icicle.
