The German Pellets plant in Woodville, Texas, has received the ENplus certificate. German Pellets can thus offer to its customers in Europe a steady supply of high-quality wood pellets. At the same time, the ENplus certification will strengthen the company’s position in the European market.

The ENplus certificate assures now that the wood pellets produced in US, at the Woodville plant, meet the high European standards. ENplus is a European-recognized certificate, that is given to producers and distributors of high-quality pellets. In addition to defined physical and chemical properties that allow proper heating, the origin and transit of ENplus pellets can be recorded seamlessly and transparently.

The German Pellets’ plant in Woodville has an annual capacity of 578,000 tons of wood pellets, which are exported both to industrial customers as well as to the private European market of electricity and heating. Besides Germany, the main sales of the German Pellets Group are directed to Italy, Austria, Denmark and Belgium.

The demand for wood pellets is increasing in all segments. The demand is particularly increasing in the heating market and from power plants. The wood pellets from Woodville are shipped to Europe from Port Arthur (Texas).
