Sierra Pacific Industries (SPI) has announced the re-start of its biomass electrical power plant located in Loyalton, Calif. The plant closed on September 12 due to poor economic conditions, resulting in the layoff of 19 employees. According to officials, the company has resolved contract issues with its power purchaser and will begin operations in early January as the plant rebuilds its fuel pile and recalls employees.
